All Things Hub

It’s been a vibrant and busy fortnight in the Springvale Rise Community Hub!

Thanks to a generous donation from Pinchapoo, we were able to gift hygiene packs to the mothers who attended our recent playgroup sessions and the Mother and Daughter Puberty Education Session. These self-care packs, which included QV face wipes, Avene sunscreen and a skin ageing preventative product, were also shared with school admin staff and our dedicated volunteers to acknowledge their ongoing support. They were very well received by families, staff and volunteers.

Our Mother’s Day Stall was also a huge highlight across both campuses! A big shoutout to our amazing volunteers who went above and beyond by pricing every item, setting up the stalls beautifully and helping students choose thoughtful gifts for their mums. Their care, creativity and teamwork made the experience smooth and joyful for everyone. We are incredibly proud of how they stepped up to lead the stalls from start to finish.

We also celebrated Mother’s Day during playgroup at both campuses, inviting mothers and their children to take part in a warm and creative session. The children prepared handprint cards using paint as special gifts for their mums and carers. We also took photos of the mums and their children on the day using a Polaroid camera and gave them a printed copy to take home. As a token of appreciation, we gifted Pinchapoo hygiene packs to the mothers who attended. The remaining packs were later shared with school admin staff and our dedicated volunteers.

At the Heights Campus, we hosted our Mother and Daughter Puberty Education Session in partnership with WHISE, led by the warm and knowledgeable Malavika. Students from Grade 4 and above joined their mothers for an empowering and respectful session exploring puberty, menstruation, and growing up. It was heartwarming to witness the special moments of connection, laughter and learning between mothers and daughters as they bonded over shared stories, affirmations, and hands-on demonstrations. Thank you to all the families who participated so openly and made this session such a success.

As part of Educaton Support Personnel Appreciation Week, members of the Women’s Wellbeing Group and Volunteers came together to prepare and decorate thoughtful gifts for staff. They hand-decorated tote bags and assembled small gift boxes to celebrate the amazing contributions of our Education Support team. Their creativity and kindness will bring many smiles across the school.
