The SLC have started Term 2 interschool sports and the sports they play are Soccer, Netball, Sofcross and AFL. So far they have played 1 game which went amazing and the SLC have started with a very strong bang! Netball won both the mixed team's and the girls team's games. Soccer won as well. Sofcross - both teams won, but AFL didn't have a team to play against, so they had an amazing practice session ready for next week.
The FLC celebrated Mother’s Day with some morning tea and spent time with their mums or special family member doing arts and crafts. One of the crafts was creating crowns that the FLC and their mums made together.
In the SLC there is a girl named Kadance and she is an excellent swimmer. In fact she is so good that she reached the State Swimming Finals and competed at Albert Park in Melbourne. She swam as fast as she could and that work paid off. At the end she placed 2nd and received a silver medal. Congratulations Kadance, we are all so proud of you!
Cross Country is one of the hardest sports we could ever do! Last Wednesday some of the SLC and MLC earnt their spot to go and do cross country. Year 4s ran 2km and the year 5/6s did 3km. Our school showed wonderful sportsmanship, and this year was one of our most successful years! We had so many students finish in the top 8 and will now compete at the next level at the end of May. Good luck to all our competitors! 🙂
Student Representative Council is an opportunity for all our students to have a voice and make change within our school! SRC members are like mini leaders, who promote and lead special events within their classrooms. At our last assembly they were presented with their certificates, and they received their badges which they can wear around the school and to excursions. Now they can wear them and be very proud.
The Grade 6s also received their hoodies and it was so fantastic to see them wearing their new jumpers. They love them!
Rj said, “this is the best thing I've ever had.”
Anshnoor commented, “I am so happy to wear my new grade 6 hoodie to school every day!”
Have a lovely week, until next time- keep smiling!
