District Cross Country Superstars: A Result of our Student Voice Initiative
We had so many superstars shine at our District Cross Country event last week, with a number of students now progressing through to the Division level — what an incredible achievement! It’s no coincidence that this success comes after the launch of our before-school running club, a brilliant initiative driven by our very own Student Voice.
Our students put forward a compelling case highlighting the benefits of regular fitness, team spirit, and the importance of preparing for competitive events like Cross Country. Their advocacy paid off, and the running club has gone from strength to strength—proving just how powerful student-led initiatives can be. We couldn’t be prouder!
Thank-you to our PE teachers Mr. Vincent Coad and Mr. Mark Kullar for their amazing coaching of (and support for) our students. Bravo team!
Education Support Personnel (ESP) Day
This year, our school community proudly came together to celebrate Education Support Personnel (ESP) Day on Friday, May 16th, recognizing the invaluable contributions of our dedicated support staff. In the lead-up to the day, both students and staff took time to reflect on the positive impact of our exceptional ES team—including members of the Admin Team, Inclusion Staff / Teacher Aides, and Multicultural Education Assistants (MEAs).
To show our gratitude, a special morning tea and assembly were held on both campuses. During the celebrations, ES staff were honored with heartfelt thank-you cards from students, thoughtful handmade gifts from our Women’s Wellbeing Group, and sincere words of appreciation. These meaningful gestures reflect the deep respect and gratitude we have for the ongoing care and support they provide every day. Let’s continue to recognize and celebrate our amazing ES staff for the incredible work they do throughout the year.
Keep smiling,
Debbie Cottier
