Mothers Day Stall 

A massive thank you to all the parents who gave up their time and volunteered to help out with the mothers day stall the night before and on the day. Your help was really appreciated. 

A massive shout out to Leanne Keller, the amazing staff member and parent who has organised and run the mothers day stall for several years. Your experience and expertise shinned through on the day. 

Thank you Leanne, the mothers day stall wouldn't have run soo smoothly or successfully without you. 

Mothers Day/Special Person Open Morning 

What an absolute treat it was having our mums, grandmas, aunts, and all the other special people in our lives join us for our Open Morning today! The school was absolutely buzzing with laughter, smiles, and beautiful moments as our guests explored classrooms, joined in activities, and spent precious time with our kids. 

Thank you for making it such a joyful and memorable event! .We hope you had as much fun as we did — and we can’t wait to welcome you back again soon!

Enviro Club 

The students in Enviro Club have been busy preparing for composting in our garden. Each Tuesday classes will be asked to collect their fruit and vegetable scraps in a bucket so that it can be collected by students in the enviro club on Wednesday at recess. 

We will be reusing yoghurt buckets to collect compostable scraps. The buckets have been decorated, by students who attended Enviro Club, with each class’s name. Students have also repurposed A4 paper to make posters for your classroom to remind students to put their scraps in the compost bucket on Tuesday. 

The amount of compost scraps from each class will be recorded with a winning class announced each week. At the end of the term there will be a prize for the class with the most collected scraps.

Winter Lightning Prem 

This week our grade 5 and 6 students spent the day playing either: Netball, T-Ball, Soccer or AFL. The students showed amazing sportsmanship game after game. 

It was amazing to see all the students get behind each other and cheering one another along. 

A massive than you to all the staff that came along and helped out with umpiring, scoring and coaching! 

This high-energy event will bring all four Houses together in a fun, fast-paced competition to see which House has the most spirit and enthusiasm.

Families, we’d love your help in hyping up this event! Encourage your child to get involved, practice their House chant, and bring their biggest energy on the day.

We are running a competition for students to create a banner on the day! The best banner made by a student for each house will be given a special spot on the day to show their spirit! Please bring them to Mrs Clay's office by Friday next week!

🌏 Education Week in Week 5 at HBPS! 🌟

This year, Education Week is all about celebrating the rich and diverse cultures that make up our school communities — and here at HBPS, we are thrilled to join in!

We’ll be shining a special spotlight on the four most represented cultural backgrounds in our school: Australia, India, New Zealand, and Bosnia & Herzegovina.

Throughout the week, students will explore the unique traditions, languages, stories, art, and games from these countries, helping deepen their understanding and appreciation of the cultures that help shape our HBPS community.

🎉 Friday 23rd May – HBPS Cultures Parade

Students are invited to come dressed in a costume that celebrates their cultural heritage on Friday the 23rd of May. We will gather for a parade of cultures at 3:00pm on the Courts, just before home time — families are welcome to come and watch!

We can’t wait to celebrate the diversity that makes our school such a vibrant and inclusive place to learn and grow. 💛🌿🎨🎶
