Thank you to all who expressed an interest in attending the after school cooking classes program, partnering with Food Bank Victoria.  We had  a lot of interest from students and families which has been fantastic.  Unfortunately only 10 families can participate in the program.

We hope to continue our partnership with Food Bank Victoria with the aim of being able to offer further programs this year and next to many of our students and their families.

Try these prompts:

What emotion do you feel right now and why?

What are some emotions you have felt today/this week?

How did you identify them?

Describe a moment from your day when you felt excited. What emotions have you noticed today in your friends, teachers or family members?

How did you recognise these emotions?

What could you do today/tomorrow to experience a positive emotion?

Also, kindly have a chat with your child about The Zones of Regulation - ask your child what feelings they may have when in the red, yellow, green or blue zone?  How do they identify these feelings?

At Broadmeadows Primary School, the wellbeing of our students is at the heart of everything we do.  Our Wellbeing Team is dedicated to supporting every child’s learning, social, and emotional needs, ensuring they feel safe, valued, and empowered to grow.

We believe that fostering strong, positive connections between home and school is key to a child’s success. Together, we can help our students build resilience, develop healthy relationships, and navigate life’s challenges with confidence.

We encourage families to reach out if you need any support or resources by contacting the school and ask to speak to your child's class teacher or a staff member from the Wellbeing Team with thanks.
