Principal Report

Dear Parents and Carers,
Prep Information Night
On Tuesday 13th May we hosted our Prep Information Night for prospective families for 2026. It was a busy night. Lots of families already at the school, and new prospective families attended. They also brough along their children. It was great to see how much the children loved learning in the space.
A big thank you to Laina Brebner, Emma Wright, Kayla Hartrick, Elyce Munnecke and Emily Murcott for sharing information on the night about our school. Thank you to Paul Taylor for his excellent prep video. Once we have permissions, we will update the school website. Thank you to our school captains and vice captains for sharing their kind words about our school on the night. Well done Harper Scott, Kade Holliday & Kyra Ashley all spoke, and Tyson Sier was there to meet and greet.
Thank you to everyone else in the background including the office staff who promoted the night, and everyone who helped get our school ready and looking its best.
School tours
Interest in our school continues to grow. We have expanded our school tours beyond Tuesday to include Fridays. We are now full on these days and we have added a Thursday. If you would like to complete a tour please book with our office team. The only days left now are Thursdays.
Parents and Friends
It has been a busy few weeks for our Parents and Friends' group who have been working hard to raise money for our school and our children. They have recently completed the Election BBQ as well as the Mother's Day stall.
Recently we updated drink troughs around the school. This is something the students asked for through their Student Representative Council. The P&F funds have been used to support this. The P&F have also contributed towards new interactive screens in Prep and Grade 1. The screens will help support students with their learning.
Working Bee
We held a working bee on Saturday 10th May. The weather and company were great. Thank you to the 15-20 families that helped. We focussed on a big clean up, as well as mulching the quad and front garden beds. We appreciate the help.
Council and Parking
The council have approached us to work with them on parking around the school. They are looking into creating drop zones away from school, but withing distance for walking. They are also looking at pathway solutions for the rear of the school so that Statesman Drive can be opened up as a valid drop zone for families. We will keep you posted on their plans and ideas as we move through the year.
Best wishes,
Craig
