Wellbeing
A focus last term in Wellbeing was around kindness and what it means to be kind to others and to yourself. This term our focus is shifting onto how we are with our new friends when we play with each other and share our stuff with each other. Turn taking is a life skill that our Foundation students are having as a focus this term. Remember the game Snakes and Ladders? The students have been playing this time honoured game, with the focus being on their ability to take turns.
Italian
CIAO A TUTTI!
In Italian, the Foundation students have been learning how to greet each other using simple Italian phrases. With the fun help of the much-loved character Pinocchio and songs like “Ciao Buongiorno,” the students have been really excited about learning. They love the song so much that they often start singing it as soon as they walk into the Italian classroom! We began by learning how to say “Hello” in Italian with the word "Ciao!" The children had a great time practicing it together. Next, we learned how to say “Goodbye” using the word "Arrivederci!" The students have also learned how to introduce themselves by saying, “Ciao, mi chiamo..” followed by their name. We encourage you to join in the fun at home by practicing these greetings and introductions with your child. It’s a great way to help them grow their Italian skills while enjoying time together!

The students have been busy PARTITIONING numbers (splitting them) this week and have really enjoyed learning new things. They are such a great group to teach, they just LOVE learning!!
