I hope everyone had a safe and happy break over the Easter holidays and ANZAC Day long weekend.

Being a parent is a very tough job, there's no manual and we all want to do our very best job. Being a parent of a neurodivergent child adds another layer of complexity.

Below are a couple of resources that were recommended by the school's SEIL (Senior Education Improvement Leader) that I hope you will find of use.

I CAN

I CAN® is Australia’s largest provider of autistic-led group mentoring programs, training and consultancy. Their mentoring programs empower 6-22-year-old young people with an ‘I CAN’ attitude. Check out their website and Services here

I CAN and the Victorian Department of Education have released, The Neurodivergent Students’ Guide to Starting High School

This graphic novel has been created by the neurodivergent mentors from the I CAN team and contains tips which would have been helpful to hear

before they started Year 7.
