Year 3

On Friday the 8th of November, Year 3 were lucky enough to go on an excursion to Lake Canobolas. This excursion was planned to fit in with our Geography and English units of work, with a particular focus on local Aboriginal culture. We were very fortunate that Miss Griffths-Leonard was able to organise the excursion with Aboriginal elders. During the day the students had the opportunity to listen to a 'welcome to country' on the didgeridoo, look at various boomerangs, see how a fishing trap was made and make some wattleseed damper.
