2024-2025 Year Ambassadors
At last Friday’s Middle and Senior School Assemblies, I had the privilege of presenting the newly appointed 2025 Year Ambassadors for Years 8 to 11. These ambassadors were nominated by their peers and homeroom teachers entrusting them with a distinct responsibility and commitment to service leadership.
The newly appointed ambassadors will have the opportunity to engage with their peers and act as a voice, bringing forward ideas and suggestions that reflect the diverse needs and interests of the student body. Student voice plays an integral role at St Patrick’s College. It is a way to empower students to actively participate in decision-making at the school which helps shape each boys’ educational experiences. We value each student’s ‘voice’ as it provides the teachers and the College Leadership Team with diverse and unique perspectives.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the 2024 Year Ambassadors for their contribution to the College in the last twelve months. Their service to the College is greatly appreciated by staff and students.
I am certain the newly appointed young men will serve their community with pride and integrity. Their voice will guide the community in meaningful ways, fostering a spirit of collaboration and innovation. By empowering our ambassadors, we are also empowering all students to take ownership of their educational journey. Let’s look forward to a year of active engagement, creativity, and positive change under the service leadership of our 2025 Year Ambassadors. Together, we can continue to make St Patrick’s College a vibrant community where every voice is heard and valued.

Attendance in 2025
For the information of parents/carers and students, please find below a table of key dates that have been confirmed in the 2025 College Calendar. Please note that other significant events, such as co-curricular and assessment schedules, will be added in the future.
This early notice is provided to parents/carers so that adequate notice is given for the planning of leave requests. The students at the College already enjoy an additional week for the mid-year and Summer holidays so it is therefore important that attendance at key College events occurs and that formal learning time during the term is considered essential.
While the College acknowledges that there are circumstances where it may be necessary for parents to request time away from school for their children, it is important for parents to understand that the College is required to operate within the legislative framework of the Education Act, which regulates requirements around leave from school and exemptions from attendance.
Please ensure all bookings and travel arrangements are made so that your son is at school on the scheduled day of commencement of term, and that no arrangements are made for travel prior to the scheduled leaving time on the last day of the school term.
Please also note that Parent-Teacher Interviews will be held for Year 5 to Year 10 in the final week of Term 2, 2025. It is an expectation that parents will not seek leave at this time as attendance at these interviews is required.
