Baseball

Both baseball teams are on a strong winning trajectory, showing impressive skill and determination that have led to crucial victories and upward movement in the standings. Each lineup has made significant strides, with a combination of experienced players and new talent stepping up to deliver clutch performances for the mighty SPC. The energy and commitment from both teams have created a renewed sense of excitement amongst the boys. With continued hard work and focus, these teams are setting themselves up for an exciting finish to the season.

Basketball

We welcomed Central Coast Grammar School to the SPC Gym and had teams from many age groups calling Auburn Basketball Centre home, and also sent squads out across Sydney, for Round 1 of ISA Basketball on Saturday. Three out of five basketball teams in the Gym, as well as many other on the road, clinched very important victories, showcasing strong play and a competitive edge, a trait SPC is known for. These wins reflect the teams’ hard work and focus throughout the pre-season, as they executed their strategies and capitalised in key moments. The victories not only lifted the teams' standings but also boosted confidence as they move forward in the season. With this momentum, the winning teams are well-positioned to build on their recent successes, while unsuccessful teams will take motivation from their losses and return bigger and better next week. While there were many highlights, the lunch that the First V parents put on was hard to beat for the highlight of the weekend!

Cricket

Both the First and Second XI had fantastic victories on Saturday to kick start the much anticipated ISA Cricket season. While there was a mixed bag of results for SPC teams competing in the Thunder League, it is still very early in the season. The teams that were unsuccessful are reminded that often good things take time, the winning teams know that great things just happen! The most important thing is enjoying Saturday with your mates.

Touch Football

The Year 7 and Year 8 Touch Football Teams launched their season with exciting victories in their Round Robin matches, laying a strong foundation for future games and building early momentum. Meanwhile, the Senior A Touch team had a bye, allowing them valuable preparation time as they gear up to make a statement this weekend. With all teams eager and ready to go, the season is set to be filled with energy, skill, and ambition across the board.
