Selamat Siang,

What a fantastic week of learning in the Inquiry Centre! Students are wel underway brainstorming and planning their persuasive speech “If I Had A Super Power”. Thank you to the families who took some time to discuss our Home Talk prompt, it was fantastic to see everyone prepared and excited to share their spectacular super powers. Over the next two weeks, students will continue to write and practice presenting their piece as a speech. This will form our Intra-School Public Speaking Competition. You might like to talk to your child and encourage them to participate in this, the winning participant from each grade will present at a special assembly in front of the whole school, with the overall strongest speaker from 1/2 entering the Intra-School Public Speaking Competition in later in the term. This is a fantastic way to build students confidence in their public speaking ability, and we encourage all students to be in the running. Your child will bring home their speech in Week 4 to practice before presenting later that week. If you have any questions about this process we strongly encourage you to contact your classroom teacher for more information.
