TWILIGHT FAIR

There are no words to explain how overwhelmingly grateful and ecstatic the PFA were at the immense success of the inaugural Twilight Fair.

The amount of time, effort, dedication and commitment that went into organising this event, behind the scenes was enormous, but it was worth it.

We were thrilled to see so many families from Holy Cross, along with members of our wider community, joining us despite the challenge that the weather threw at us.

In the hours leading up to the fair, withdrawal of more than half of our stall holders and food trucks, relocating vendors and inflatables rides inside to accommodate the impending weather conditions, proved challenging, but did not deter us to ensure the fair would go ahead, we believe we made the right call. The show must go on, and it did!!!!!!

The Cha Cha was a huge hit with most patrons, big and small. Not even the heavy rain could wash the smiles off their faces.

Thank you to the Parent Reps and teachers for working with us to get the Class stalls up and running and making them the success that they were. One of the biggest highlights of the Class Stalls was the infamous Dunk Tank! From dunking the leadership team to other teachers and peers, this is one that will stay in the memory bank for years to come. It wouldn’t have been possible without the extraordinary commentary and silent buzzer hitter, Paul Gatty. He did an amazing job taking control of the dunk tank, staying out with Tate the entire evening, even when the heavy rain set in.  A massive thank you to both of you!

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the parents, students, and teachers who volunteered their time and effort. And to Aoife, Kate and Kellie for letting us turn the school upside down to accommodate the last minute changes. Without your help and generous donations, events like this would not be possible and the PFA truly appreciates every contribution.

Additionally, a huge thank you to our sponsors from school families and the broader community, whose support made the silent auction and raffle a resounding success.

We managed to raise a staggering $15,000 which will be reinvested into the school. We had on our list a new stage and we are currently discussing the best ways to allocate the remainder of the funds, and we welcome any ideas on how they can best benefit the school. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with your suggestions!

Thank you once again for making the Twilight Fair a memorable event for all!

AGM

The annual AGM is being held on the 13th of November at 2:30pm in the Staff Room. All positions are open, and we would love some new fresh faces to join the team.

Being part of the PFA is a rewarding experience and an honour we don’t take lightly. A lot of time and effort goes into making these events for our children and seeing the smiles and joy on their faces makes it all worth it. With quite a few members finishing their time at the end of the year, and others stepping down from their long-standing roles, there is no better time to join our team!

BAKE SALE

We are planning to restart our fortnightly bake sales. These will run on the same day as assemblies. The first one back for Term 4 will be on the 15th November and the class will be Grade 3’s. Anything brought in will need to have a full list of ingredients attached. If you have any queries, please don’t hesitate to reach out!

This is just a reminder that the door is always open to join our team. There is no better way to feel part of the Holy Cross Community. Please don’t hesitate to contact any of the approachable members for more information on how to join!

Warm Regards

PFA
