Dear Parents and Community,

I hope this newsletter finds you all well and enjoying the beautiful spring weather. We have had a fantastic start to the term, and the children have settled into their classes with enthusiasm and eagerness to learn.

A Term of Excitement and Achievement

This term has been incredibly busy and full of exciting events. Our school circus program has been a highlight, with the children practicing diligently and showcasing their amazing talents. It has been wonderful to see the children's confidence and creativity shine through.

We have also been diligently working on assessments and preparing for the upcoming report writing season. Our teachers are committed to providing you with detailed and informative reports that reflect your child's progress and achievements.

Exciting News: Our New Gym Opening!

We are thrilled to announce that our school gym will be officially opening on Friday, November 22nd, at 10:30am. This is a significant milestone for our school community and we invite all parents and community members to join us for the opening ceremony. There will be a whole-school assembly, student vs. teacher games and refreshments.

Year 2 Sleep Over

Our Year 2 students are gearing up for their exciting overnight camp experience. We are looking forward to providing them with a fun and memorable adventure filled with friendship, teamwork and new experiences.

Year 4 Camp at Phillip Island

Our Year 4 students are eagerly anticipating their upcoming camp to Phillip Island. This exciting adventure will provide them with opportunities for outdoor learning, teamwork and personal growth.

Class Creation and Transition Program

The process of creating classes for 2025 is underway. Our experienced teachers will carefully consider a range of factors, including academic needs, social dynamics and individual learning styles, to ensure the best possible learning environment for all students.

We will also be implementing a transition program to help students and families prepare for the upcoming year. This program will include opportunities for students to meet their new teachers, become familiar with their classrooms and learn about the expectations for the next year level.

Workforce Changes

There will be very little change to our team in 2025. There will be no new teachers with just a few departures due to existing staff returning from leave. Our talented expert level educators bring a wealth of experience and expertise to our school community. We will be moving our Learning Specialists back into the classrooms on a part-time basis and they will be paired with very experienced teachers. We are confident that their contributions will enhance the quality of education we provide to our students.

Camping Programs Continue for 2025

Based on feedback sought from families, children and staff our popular camping programs will continue to be offered in 2025. We will be sending out a separate communication to parents with further information.

Curriculum Days

Please note that we will have two curriculum days this term on November 4th and November 27th. These two dates are student free days.

Celebrating World Teacher's Day

Join us in celebrating World Teacher's Day on Friday, October 25th. This special day is an opportunity to recognise and appreciate the hard work and dedication of our teachers. We encourage students and parents to express their gratitude and appreciation for our amazing educators.
