SCHOLARSHIPS
For most universities in Victoria, NSW and Canberra, a dual system exists for scholarship applications. This means institutions place some of their scholarships through the state based Tertiary Admission Centre (TAC) system and others direct through the university.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR ME?
This means you will have to:
Complete the TAC scholarship application and upload any evidence required.
Victoria: apply via VTAC by this Friday (11 October, 4pm),
NSW/ACT: apply via UAC by Friday 8 December.
Apply for any scholarships you are eligible for direct to the university.
This will take time and effort, but it’s worth it as you may receive a scholarship or bursary.
VICTORIAN INSTITUTES
What universities don’t place scholarships through the VTAC scholarships system?
- The University of Melbourne: apply for all scholarships via SEAS.
- Australian Catholic University: apply for equity scholarships via the UAC system by 10 December as well as direct to the university by the relevant due dates.
- Monash University: apply for scholarships via the VTAC SEAS system.
NSW & ACT COURSES
If you have applied to the university directly and not via UAC, ask me if you have to complete a UAC Equity Scholarship application. For most institutes, regardless of the application method, you will still need to complete a UAC Equity Scholarship application as well as apply direct to the university for scholarships.
