2024 Formula High School Track Day

The Formula High School Track Day was a thrilling event, marking the culmination of a year and a half of hard work by students and staff in the MEM20422 Certificate II in Engineering Pathways program. After a successful scrutineering and tuning session on Thursday, the team was ready for a competitive day at Lakeside Raceway. Despite an early setback with a flat battery, quick thinking and teamwork got the car back on track just in time.

Throughout the day, students took turns driving, but faced challenges with the car’s chain coming off multiple times. Thanks to a clever fix from a support parent (Henry Krutil), they managed to keep the car running and completed 83 laps, finishing 11th out of 27 cars. The event was a valuable learning experience and a testament to the team’s resilience and problem-solving skills.
