Safe on Social – Kirra Pendergast
The annual Rush House charity education event, Day for Daniel, will be held this Friday 18 October. As always, and very timely, the emphasis on the day is based around safety, including a focus on cyber safety.
We have organised a parent cyber safety webinar with Kirra Pendergast, Cyber Safety expert from Safe on Social which will take place on Thursday 19 October from 7:30pm to 8:30pm. To register for this event, please click on the link below. There is no charge for this online event and the Zoom link is included on the Humanitix booking page.

Free Dress Day
This Friday students and staff are asked to wear red in support of the Daniel Morcombe Foundation. Students will be asked to donate either $2.00 or $5.00 and payment will be made through their student ID card.
During Break 1, there will be a sausage sizzle ($2.50), soft drinks ($2.50) and cookies ($1.00) available for purchase using their student ID card.
Please ensure there are sufficient funds in your son’s Monitor account.
Student Presentations
Guest speakers have been organised to address students on the topics of safety – online and beyond the school gates, personal information and digital footprints, respectful relationships and support available to assist victims. Content for each presentation will be age-appropriate for that year level.

Thank you to Scott Minogue – Head of Rush House for organising the Day for Daniel initiatives.
Year 10 students will be receiving their second dosage of the Meningococcal B vaccine next Thursday. The first dose was administered back in May. An email has been sent to all Year 10 students and parents with the timings.
Please note these vaccinations will only be administered to students whose parents have provided us with consent previously. If your situation has changed and your son has received his second vaccination privately, please contact Student Admin (email: studentadmin@marash.qld.edu.au).
