Cyber Safety Classroom
Why We Teach Cyber Safety & Digital Wellbeing
Our Commitment
We are committed to helping every student learn, grow and thrive in a digital world. Supporting students to build safe, responsible and positive online behaviours is an essential part of their wellbeing and learning. That’s why we’ve partnered with the Cyber Safety Project to deliver Cyber Safe Classroom, an evidence‐based curriculum that equips young people with the skills, values and confidence to thrive online.
Why It Matters
Today’s children grow up surrounded by technology, gaming, social media and AI. These tools create incredible opportunities, but they also present new challenges. The Cyber Safety Project programs support our students to:
- Stay safe and protect their personal information
- Recognise and respond to issues like cyberbullying, scams and misinformation
- Build empathy, resilience and respectful digital habits
- Think critically and make ethical choices online
What Learning Looks Like
Students participate in:
- Age‐appropriate lessons delivered by their teachers
- Interactive activities, discussions and videos
- Learning connected to four core cyber safety values: Responsibility, Integrity, Strength and Empathy
How You Can Support at Home
Parents and carers play a vital role in shaping positive digital habits. You can help by:
- Talking regularly about your child’s online experiences for example, what they enjoy and what concerns them
- Using values language such as responsibility, integrity, strength and empathy when talking with your children about online safety
- Exploring resources provided by the school and Cyber Safety Project
- Modelling safe, balanced and respectful online behaviour
- Reaching out to your child’s teacher or wellbeing team if questions arise.
