Prep Area

It has been a fabulous start to Term 2 for the Prep students! 

BUNDOORA FARM EXCURSION:

We had our excursion to Bundoora Farm on Wednesday. The children were so excited and willingly participated in all aspects of the excursion. For some students, it was the first time on a bus!

Students were asked to write a recount about the farm. It's amazing to see how the students are beginning to use their letter-sound knowledge to sound out individual words and begin to write a complete sentence!

SPECIAL PERSON MORNING:

On Friday 8th of May, we opened our classrooms to our Mums and special people. We had a fantastic time doing activities with our special people. We decorated mugs, photo frames, made bracelets and bookmarks.

PMP:

This term, the Prep students have started PMP (perceptual motor program). We are thankful to our parent helpers who have assisted each Wednesday afternoon. The students work on activities designed to strengthen their motor skills.

Maths:

This term we have been learning about additive thinking. We have started by focusing on addition as putting together 2 amounts. Students have been modelling addition using concrete materials, drawings and number bonds.
