Year 9 News  

Year 9 students are attending Myuna Farm during Weeks 2 and 3 of this term to investigate sustainable farming practices in Australia. 

Using small nets, students engaged in fishing for invertebrates and fish to survey the tolerant/sensitive species of the local wetland. This was to study the impact farming can have on local biomes. 

In addition to this, students studied how composting can result in healthier soil, as well as how water, power and waste management can contribute to sustainability in a region.
