Vermont Secondary College

Vermont Secondary College has a proud history of working with the Centre for Higher Education Studies (CHES) to facilitate access to enrichment electives, external Year 12 subjects Algorithmics and Extended Investigation and first year University subjects that can be taken whilst in year 12 and count towards a student’s ATAR Score.

Year 10 Enrichment Electives

A number of enrichment electives are available for our Year 10 students as Semester 2 subjects.

These are run by CHES, and applications must be supported by the college. Students will be expected to attend a number of seminar days on site at CHES, alongside weekly sessions that will run remotely outside of school hours.

These subjects are for enrichment, and in preparation for possible 3/4 Algorithmics or 3/4 Extended Investigation which can be taken in the final year at VSC.

There is no allocated study block for these subjects, and students who participate are expected to maintain a high level of performance in their VSC subjects.
