  • Recognize emotions and appreciate differences and respond thoughtfully to the world around them.

  • Share space and show courtesy.

Big Sister / Man's Cave

Last Friday, the Year 5/6 Unit welcomed two outside facilitators to work with students around social and emotional wellbeing. The students actively involved themselves throughout the day engaging in games, discussion sessions, question time and strategies that can assist them with areas such as consent, boundaries, transition to high school, changes and being a respectful and responsible adult.

Some of the students' comments are below:-

"I think the best thing about today was everything because it was very helpful for us our younger girl generations.  And I like eating Oreos :)"

"The best thing was Respectful Relationships and to set boundaries and to have healthy relationships."

"I'm glad I learnt that I can set boundaries if I need to and I can talk to my trusted adults.  I am also glad I learnt that I can express my feelings in all different ways."

The girls rated their session- 8.59 out of 10!
