Working With Children Clearance
Under the VRQA Guidelines to the Minimum Standards and Requirements for School Registration, schools are required to have evidence of:
- procedures to ensure all staff and volunteers have a current Working with Children Clearance (WWCC) where they are required to do so by the Worker Screening Act 2020
- a register of employees and volunteers with a WWCC which includes the following information for each person:
- name
- card number
- expiry date
- date the check was last verified.
- procedures for maintaining a register of all staff and volunteers with a WWCC.
EduPay is the WWCC register for school staff. However, schools must maintain a local register of volunteers' WWCC details
Privacy
All schools are required to follow the department’s Schools’ privacy policy (PAL) and must post a link to it on the school’s website.
