Seeking Parent Input for Our School Review

We are looking for parents to help us with our school review!

Parent input is a vital part of this process, and wewant to hear from a variety of parents to ensure a broad range of perspectives are represented.

On Wednesday, 26th February, our review panel members will be speaking with parents who are willing to share their thoughts about the school. The exact time will be confirmed after our first review day tomorrow.

If you are willing to be involved, please email me (andrew.bloomfield@education.vic.gov.au) to let me know. Your insights and experiences will be invaluable in shaping the future of our school!

Seesaw

We are excited to announce that Seesaw is being reintroduced across the school!

Seesaw is a student learning portfolio that provides a fantastic way for parents to stay updated on their child’s learning. It allows students to share their work, celebrate achievements, and reflect on their progress throughout the year.

You will receive instructions from your child’s teacher on how to join Seesaw and connect with their learning journey. Teachers will also outline how they will use Seesaw in their classrooms to share student work and key learning moments.

We look forward to strengthening the connection between school and home through this valuable platform!

Extreme Fire Rating Relocation

It looks like Saturday, 22nd February will be an Extreme Fire Rating day for the Macedon Ranges. As a result, the school site will be closed, and there will be no access on this day. We will confirm this on Friday.

Please stay safe and keep updated with emergency warnings and advice.

150 Year Celebration Fete

Celebrating 150 Years of Macedon Primary School!

This year, we are thrilled to be celebrating 150 years of Macedon Primary School—an incredible milestone in our school's history! To mark this special occasion, we will be holding a 150th Anniversary Fete on Saturday, 15th November.

A huge event like this takes a great deal of planning, and we need plenty of support to make it a success. The School Council has established a Fete Sub-Committee, led by Kate Medhurst, to coordinate the event.

We would love your help! Whether you can contribute your time to assist with planning, have ideas for activities and stalls, or can donate goods or services, we would be delighted to hear from you. Your support is vital in making this a fantastic celebration for our school and community.

If you are able to help in any way, please contact me directly (andrew.bloomfield@education.vic.gov.au) by Friday the 21st of February. Let’s work together to create an unforgettable event to celebrate 150 years of Macedon Primary School!

Warm regards,
