TERM 1, Week 2
What a wonderful start to 2025 we have had. These superstar Preps have settled into the learning community and have already become familiar with their morning routines and completing all morning jobs before our learning day begins.
We have been practising being focused listeners and showing kindness to our teachers and peers by using our brain, heart, mouth, body, head, legs, eyes and ears to listen.
On Thursday we started Investigations. During this time students participate in play-based learning, which incorporates imaginative play, fine motor skill practice, construction and discovery. Our theme for Investigations this term is Community and Belonging. You can find the students using their imagination to take on the roles of a firefighter, paramedic, police officer, librarian, family member, barrister or relaxing at the beach. Students have been building creations with boxes, playdough, cups, pompoms and other materials. They also worked on learning to match Uppercase and Lowercase letters together.
We are so proud of all the children's efforts!!
Last week we visited the Church with our Buddies in preparation for the Beginning of School Mass which we had today. We learnt about the different parts of the Church and practised how to behave reverently while we were there.
Thank you
