Introducing the Primary Classroom Teachers and the Primary Specialist team for
Art, Music and Mandarin
Hi families and friends, I am Alysha, known to my students as Miss Byers. This is my third-year teaching at Altona College but my journey with the college began in 2020 when I started working in OSHC. This year I am excited to be taking on the role of Prep teacher and P-2 Team Leader. Outside the classroom, I have a passion for the performing arts, having spent my younger years on stage. I still enjoy dance and musical theatre whenever I can. I also love exploring Australia and have travelled to six of the eight states and territories. I’m looking forward to a fantastic year of learning and growth with our students and families!
Hello everyone! My name is Nadia Segovia, and I'm thrilled to have joined the Altona College community in 2025 as a Prep teacher. I have a passion for sewing and spending time with my family, exploring the great outdoors. I'm so excited to be a part of student's journeys and watch them grow and develop throughout the year.

Hello everyone! I’m Jacqui, and this is my second-year teaching at our school, although I have been teaching P–2 in the Hobson’s Bay area for the past six years. It’s been lovely getting to know new families, and I’m so happy to be part of the friendly community here. I love helping primary children develop the important skills they need for the future. It’s truly wonderful to watch them grow - both socially and academically - throughout our year together and to continue seeing their progress over the rest of their school journey.
Hi everyone, I'm Michelle Bolitho, known to students as Mrs Bolitho. This is my second year at Altona College and my 14th year teaching. I taught preps last year and am excited to be teaching Grade 1/2s this year. My favourite subjects to teach are reading and maths. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, listening to music, reading, gardening and bike riding. I look forward to an exciting year with grade 1s and 2s.
Hi there to the families of students at Altona College. My name is Christine Tseriotis and I’m very happy to be teaching Grade 1/2 students again this year. I love working with the younger students and I’m committed to fostering a positive and engaging, learning environment where each child is supported to do their best. With a focus on developing their, academic, social-emotional and creative skills, I aim to ensure each child feels valued, challenged, and inspired to grow. I look forward to meeting the families of all the students in the class so we can work together to bring about the best learning outcomes for each student.

Primary Altona District Swimming
Selected primary students were invited to participate in the Altona District Swimming competition held at Vic University, Footscray. A big "Thank-You" to the fundraising team for working tirelessly to raise funds for our Altona College swim caps - as modelled by our swimmers (and Nathan ) that were put to use today.
