Dear Parents,
It has been an incredibly rewarding few days for our Year 5/6 students as they participated in the Sovereign Hill camp experience. I am delighted to report that the camp offered a wealth of enriching learning opportunities, coupled with ample occasions for students to engage in meaningful social interactions. In the coming weeks, we will be sharing photographs and reflections from the students themselves, providing further insight into their experiences.
I would also like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the efforts of our Year 5/6 teachers, Silvia De Filippis and Kel Giblett, whose meticulous planning and organisation were instrumental in the camp’s success. They were ably supported by Melvin Subramaniam, our Learning Support Officer. I extend my sincere gratitude to all three for dedicating their time and energy, at the expense of personal commitments, to ensure the well-being and safety of our Year 5/6 students. Their collective efforts have no doubt contributed to the creation of lasting memories for all involved.
All are welcome to join us at St Christopher's church for our Opening School Mass on Monday February 24 from 9.15am.
Next Tuesday February 25 we will hold the first of two Open Day mornings for prospective families considering St Christopher's for their children. We will have a second day on Wednesday March 19. I encourage you to alert your family, friends and neighbours to contact our office if they would like to book in for one of the Open Days or a tour.
Anaphylaxis is the most severe form of allergic reaction and is potentially life threatening. The safety of all our children is our highest priority. For some children even skin contact with the allergen can cause an allergic reaction. Our aim is to have all families refrain from sending nut products to school with their children. This includes peanut butter, hazelnut spreads and some muesli bars.
We also ask you to speak with your children about not sharing their food with other children. (particularly in the younger year levels).
Have a lovely weekend!
