The Gap State High School was established in the 1960s when the original blocks, including Blocks A, B, and C, welcomed students into the new school. As student numbers grew, so did the facilities, with additional classrooms, specialist areas, and external facilities being built.

We endeavour to provide and maintain facilities for our community with additional funding that the school can access through various grant applications and donations made by our P&C Association. The school is registered as a deductible gift recipient (DGR), and we welcome tax-deductible donations from our community as additional funding to facilitate a conducive learning environment for our students. Further details on the DGR will be forthcoming in 2025.
