Dear Parents and Caregivers,

The first round of 2025 Choose-Your-Own-Device laptops has been set up and distributed to students. Attached is a copy of the program's FAQ to help answer your questions and shed light on the accidental damage protection and warranty repair process.

If you have any issues with your device, please either email cyod@thegapshs.eq.edu.au or have the device brought to the school's IT Helpdesk. 

General IT Information

As we settle into this year there are a few housekeeping reminders for students and parents from the IT team.

• IT Helpdesk is open before & after school as well as break times.
• Gaming is not allowed at any time during the school day including break times as it often drains laptop batteries.
• Charging of devices is not allowed at the school. Laptops are expected to be fully charged at the start of each school day.
• We also encourage students to mix and socialise without a device. 
• Students are encouraged to visit the IT helpdesk with all IT related questions.
