Captain's Corner

Welcome to the Captain’s Corner, with Bridget and Callum!
Welcome to Week 3
This week our students from 3 to 6 have been doing swimming training for Dendy District which is on Monday next week. We swam on Tuesday and Wednesday morning. Our swim team is looking very strong and we are all very excited for Monday.
In other news the Prep to 3’s made ice cream in STEM with Mrs Hansford
It was a fast and simple recipe:
- Two plastic bags
- Three cups of ice
- Two cups of milk
- Half a teaspoon of salt
- Half a cup of sugar
- Shake shake shake for 2 mins
- Enjoy!
While the junior classes did this, the Year 5 and 6's worked on understanding how electricity works and what things make energy flow and what doesn’t. We found out that copper and other metals let energy flow and rubber and wood doesn’t let it flow. We found out that a light bulb needs the glass around it because if there is no glass the wire will blow out due to the oxygen.
Well done to all of the STAR award winners this week as well as the Art award winners. Thank you for such an amazing week.
Happy Valentine's Day!
