2025 School Captains

Charlie, Madeline, Olive and Elias

Introducing our new Captains

We are very excited to represent you all this year as the 2025 school captains! This year we are hoping to focus on enhancing student voice, creating community and connection and developing life skills.

Hi, I’m Charlie and super excited to be one of your school captains this year. I would love to focus on creating a sense of community within the Year 12 cohort as well as the broader school community by focusing on creating a safe and supportive community where everyone - from the new Year 7s to the Year 12s - feel they belong. I also would love to focus on the development of important life skills that will prepare us for life beyond school.

Hi, my name is Elias Zombolas, and I am honoured to be one of your school captains for 2025. This year I would love to focus on having an enjoyable year at school and making sure everybody in the school community feels heard and valued. Finally, I am a confident, friendly and approachable face. If you do see me around, please feel free to come up for a conversation and introduce yourselves, and if you need anything, I’m here for you!

Hi, I’m Madeline and I am one of your 2025 school captains! I have been part of the leadership program here at Northcote since Year 10. I am very passionate about leadership and am looking forward to being your captain this year. I’m hoping to strengthen our connection with the local community around Northcote, by connecting with our local First Nations peoples as well as the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre nearby. I am also hoping to enhance student voice and ensure that your voices are heard about the things happening at Northcote, to ensure we all have an enjoyable year. I am dedicated to making Northcote a safe and welcoming space for everyone, including the local community!

Hello, I'm Olive. As I approach my last year as a Northcote High student, I reflect on the strengths and weaknesses of our school community. Within year levels the community is strong, we are supportive of each other, and we lift each other up to achieve goals and follow our school values. As a 2025 school captain, I hope to use my leadership to work towards building a stronger school community between year levels and unite our student body as a whole.
