Chicken Helpers needed
We are seeking some SKiPPS families to help us share the load of looking after our SKiPPS chickens.
Each day our chickens need someone to top up their food and water, collect their eggs, clear out their used and dirty straw and spend a bit of time to keep them company.
This is an easy and fun activity and great for kids to get involved with and Allison will provide training and support as required.
If you would like to help us out then please sign up to the chicken sitter roster below.

RUN CLUB 2025 - STARTS FRIDAY!
A reminder that Run Club starts this Friday (7th) at the new time of 8:15AM.
For a bit of fun to get us started, and to celebrate the recent Pride March, we will be having a theme this week - "Run with Pride". No need to prepare anything, as we will have some rainbow themed items ready for running laps.
For those new to the school, or those considering coming to Run Club for the first time, here are a few details:
When:
- Fridays, during school term (excluding public holidays and curriculum days)
- Start: 8:15AM
- Finish: 8:45AM
Where:
- On the oval, near the side gate.
What:
- SKiPPS children are invited to run/walk laps of the oval and mark a tally against their name.
- Parents/guardians are welcome to run laps as well (or just catch-up with other parents).
- Children's laps are collated, and children who reach milestone distances (e.g, 10,000m and 25,000m) over time will receive a certificate - these are presented at school assembly.
- Rub Club is coordinated by volunteer parents, so there is no cost and no need to register - just turn up on the day and getting running.
- A friendly reminder that supervision by school staff on yard duty commences at 8:45am, within the school grounds, therefore your child must be supervised by a parent/carer until 8:45am.
Any questions?
- Feel free to contact Claire Byrne (mum of Alby V [Grade 2] and Rosie B [Foundation]) via email: claire.byrne@yahoo.com.au or just look for her (in SKiPPS orange t shirt) at Rub Club on Friday mornings!
