Principal’s Message
Mrs Claire Ryan
Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome Back to a New School Year!
I hope this message finds you well and that you’ve had a wonderful and restful break. As we enter a brand-new school year, I am filled with excitement and optimism for all that lies ahead.
Our school is a place of learning, growth, and community, and we are eager to welcome back our students, staff, and families. Whether you are returning or joining us for the first time, know that you are an important part of the Sacred Heart family.
This year, we remain committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment where every child can thrive. Our dedicated teachers and staff have been working hard to prepare engaging lessons, create welcoming classrooms, and ensure that our students have the best possible start to the year.
As parents and guardians, we encourage you to be active partners in your child’s education. Strong home-school connections help children feel supported and motivated. Please watch for important updates, events, and opportunities to get involved throughout the year.
Let’s make this year one of curiosity, kindness, and success! My door is always open if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you for being a part of our wonderful school community—I look forward to seeing you all soon!
Wishing everyone a fantastic start to the school year!

School Newsletter
The School Newsletter is our most significant means of communication between school and home, and we value the time it takes for our parents and family members to read it thoroughly. The newsletter will be available fortnightly during odd weeks throughout the term.
Assembly
We will continue to welcome all our families into the school during even weeks on a Friday for assembly with a scheduled time of 2:15pm-2:45pm. During these assemblies, we will continue to showcase the students' learning and present two Living Well, Learning Well Awards from Kinder to Year 6 and two Class Awards for each classroom.
We look forward to seeing you throughout the year at our School Assemblies.
Communication
Your child/ren’s teachers are the first people you should contact with any concerns about your child or other students. If you are ever unsatisfied with the outcome of a conversation or its follow-up, please contact me.
I am always willing to meet with parents about confidential matters or matters they do not wish to discuss with other staff. My door is always open, and the office staff can arrange an appropriate time for the meeting.
Positive Partnerships
In enrolling your child at our Catholic school, you enter into a positive partnership with Sacred Heart to maximise learning, wellbeing, and faith development outcomes for your child, as well as support these outcomes for the staff, other children, and young people at the school.
This poster from Armidale Catholic Schools will support these positive partnerships as we work to build and maintain a strong family-school partnership as an essential condition to support the development of successful student learning pathways.
Parent Information Evening & PTF AGM
On Wednesday, 26th February, at 5:30pm, our annual Parent Information Evening will be held at Sacred Heart School. We will discuss our goals for 2025 and also host our PTF AGM.
We look forward to seeing all our families in attendance as we start our 2025 school year.
Warm regards,
Claire Ryan
