Canteen

One of the unique aspects of ASPS is that we have an inhouse canteen to provide nutritious meals to our children 5 days a week - as well as the ability to purchase treats and frozen items at both the recess and lunch breaks.
It also provides a wonderful opportunity to contribute to our school community. Volunteering ensures we can continue to provide such a comprehensive menu with variety and keeping it as affordable as possible for families.
With a rotating menu, variety is never a problem!
Sushi, rice paper rolls, steamed pork buns, lasagne, butter chicken- better options than most food courts!
As with all things we need to review and refine the way we operate and the Auburn South Primary School canteen is transitioning to a volunteer led operation in 2025 supported by a manager and team to ensure the canteen can continue to operate 5 days a week but we need your help!
In order to ensure consistency the school will continue to employ a canteen manager and skeleton staff to ensure the ordering, invoicing, inhouse baking and fulfillment of Flexischool orders can be maintained. However volunteer power will ensure that our children continue to have the windows open at recess and lunch for their snacks and treats – the highlight of their day for some!
Ultimately the success of the canteen will be reliant on volunteer support from our community to ensure it’s viability and continuing in its current format.
