Character Strengths

Dear Parents/Carers,

At our school, we strive to nurture not only the academic growth of our students but also their emotional and social wellbeing. One of the ways we do this is by focusing on character strengths—qualities that help students develop positive behaviours, build strong relationships, and navigate challenges with resilience.

Character strengths are the attributes and virtues that help us become our best selves. They include traits like kindness, perseverance, curiosity, honesty, and teamwork. By teaching these strengths, we aim to equip students with life skills that will support them inside and outside the classroom.

You may recall that a few weeks ago, we celebrated Kindness Week, where students participated in activities and discussions around the power of kindness. We explored how small acts of kindness can create a ripple effect, positively impacting our community.

In the next two weeks, each grade will continue this journey by focusing on other character strengths.

We encourage you to have conversations with your child about the strengths they are learning and how they can apply them in their daily lives.

Thank you for your ongoing support in helping us cultivate a school environment that promotes both academic success and strong character development.

Warm regards,

Melina
