Farewell Class of 2024!
Today was a bittersweet moment as we said our goodbyes to the Class of 2024. The day began with a special breakfast for our Year 12 students, followed by a heartfelt walk through the Colonnade, where they were warmly farewelled by teachers and students. It was a touching reminder of the bonds formed here over their years.
We are deeply grateful to the families who joined us, standing by the graduates as they close this chapter. The celebrations carry on this evening with a Chapel Service, Valedictory Dinner and special presentations, honouring their journey and achievements at All Saints' College.
Wonderful Wellbeing Day
We wrapped up the first week of Term 4 with Wellbeing Day! The day was filled with exciting activities that brought our community together for a day of fun and relaxation.
Durack House’s Bake Stall was a resounding success, offering a variety of sweet treats, while the photobooth captured countless smiles throughout the day. Creative energy filled The Common with vibrant chalk art displays, adding a splash of colour to the surroundings.
The Common was full of energy at lunchtime with ASC’s band, Vortex, delivering an energetic 90s punk rock set. Lively games kept everyone on their feet, and students enjoyed tug of war. The petting zoo quickly became a favourite attraction, while the smoothie bike stayed busy, spinning fresh creations for all to enjoy.
It was wonderful to see everyone embrace the spirit of Wellbeing Day. A special thank you to O'Connor House for their outstanding leadership in bringing this fantastic day to life!

Digital Design Students Showcase Talent at Evolve Pop Culture Expo
On the weekend of 7/8 September, our talented Year 9 and 10 Digital Design students stepped into the world of entrepreneurship at the Evolve Expo, a popular local pop culture convention. Our students didn't just attend—they actively participated, setting up a small pop-up booth to sell products they had designed and developed themselves. Their creativity and hard work paid off, as they impressed the event's attendees and their customers with their unique creations.
Dedicating the entire weekend to this project, our students not only experienced the process of selling their products but also learned valuable lessons in communication, marketing and customer service. The hands-on nature of the experience provided them with real-world skills that will serve them in future endeavours, whether they pursue careers in business, design or any other field.
The opportunity to sell at local markets offers students a range of benefits. It encourages them to think like entrepreneurs, helping them to develop confidence and problem-solving abilities. These events also allow them to understand the value of collaboration and teamwork, as they work together to manage their booth, interact with customers, and handle transactions.
Overall, the success of our students at the Evolve Expo reflects their creativity, perseverance and dedication. We' are very proud of their accomplishments and excited to see how they' continue to grow through similar opportunities in the future.

Year 9 Chinese Excursion: A Memorable Experience
The Year 9 Chinese excursion was a highlight for many students at the end of Term 3, providing a unique opportunity to immerse ourselves in various aspects of Chinese culture. In many ways, the experience surpassed other school events, offering both fun and learning in equal measure.
The day began with a hands-on pot-making class using air-dry clay, where we learned about the cultural significance and techniques involved in traditional pottery. While some students found the activity more engaging than others, it served as an excellent introduction to Chinese history and craftsmanship, offering insight into the intricacies of this ancient art form.
A particularly exciting part of the day was the dim sum lunch, followed by a bubble tea walkabout in Northbridge, where we explored the thriving bubble tea culture in Perth. The teachers provided us with a reasonable budget that allowed for flexibility, teaching us the importance of managing our resources responsibly. We were encouraged to practise our Chinese language skills while ordering food and drinks, which added a fun, practical element to the experience. It was a great learning moment for everyone.
As we walked through Northbridge, we stopped at different bubble tea stores, sampling a variety of flavours and learning about the rise of bubble tea as a popular beverage in Asian and global cultures. The experience was a sweet treat and a fun way to conclude the day's activities.
Another highlight was our visit to an oriental store where we explored Chinese and Asian snacks. Some students who were already familiar with these snacks took the lead in guiding others on what to try, further enriching our cultural experience and fostering a sense of teamwork and exploration.
In conclusion, the Year 9 Chinese excursion was an unforgettable experience and one of the most enjoyable events of the year. A big thank you to Mrs Tan, Mr Tan and Mr Beath for organising and guiding us throughout the day. Their efforts made the excursion a great success, and we are all grateful for the opportunity to learn and have fun together.
