Year 12 Transition Counselling and SATAC Applications
Senior Staff met with all Year 12 students during Week 8 to ensure they have created a Pathway Plan as they transition into further education or employment. We were pleased with the way the students have researched their chosen courses and most have now completed the SATAC application for University entry in 2025.
This is a final reminder that the SATAC application needs to be completed and paid before close of business on Monday, 30 September 2024. TAFE applications can also be completed through the SATAC website with no cost involved – the ideal backup plan!
Students are able to return to their mySATAC application to change preference any time up until January 2, 2025.
Year 10 Mock Interviews
Our Personal Learning Pathway’s program continues next term with the Year 10s developing their skill in applying for and obtaining an entry level job. Students are required to complete a written application, including resume and cover letter, and then undertake a ‘mock’ job interview for the position. Past students have always commented on the value of this experience in preparing them for the challenges faced in applying for jobs now, and into the future.
The Mock Interviews will take place on Thursday, 14 November here at the College.
For this day to run effectively we require volunteers from our school community to act as interviewers. Whilst we do have ‘regulars’ we are able to call on, we are always on the lookout for more volunteers. We would love to have more of our community members involved in this program (no experience required!). If you're interested in assisting, please call or email me at the College on 83683311 or annie.fitridge@endeavour.sa.edu.au.
All details and information regarding the interview session is provided along with a tasty morning tea.
The interviews will run from 9.00am until about 12.30pm.
