Dear Families,
This fortnight, we've had so many fun and exciting events at school! You may have noticed that I've been uploading more photos onto SeeSaw, but there’s always more happening here.
We have started learning about multiplication and division. So far, the students have been visualising multiplication through arrays. We’ve created our own "Array Cities" and have even begun exploring how to solve multiplication problems when not all objects are visible.
This week, the Preps to Grade 2 students are rotating through three separate science experiments. We are hypothesizing, predicting, and discovering new things every day. Most importantly, we're having fun in the process and doing our best!
On Wednesday, we had a blast strutting our stuff on the catwalk for the Annual Book Week Parade! Everyone was kind and respectful, cheering on students from all the other classes as they showed off their amazing costumes. You all looked terrific, and a big thank you to everyone for putting in so much effort to dress up.
Everyone had a wonderful and special afternoon with their grandparents, decorating and crafting meaningful items together. We shared our gratitude for our grandparents and talked about why we love them so much. It was heart warming to see so many happy faces and encouraging classmates supporting one another throughout the afternoon.
We look forward to seeing you at our special Year 1/2 mass next week, please join us at 9.15am on Tuesday in the church.
On Wednesday we are having a special visit from Dr Loz from Science PlayKids, she will be running special activities with us throughout the day.
Thursday is our whole school excursion to the Enchanted Maze, please make sure you are at school on time!
Friday is our last day of term, we will change library books and take-home readers for the holidays.
Wishing all our families a relaxing and enjoyable break!
