Dear Families,

As we approach the final week of Term 3, we have some exciting events to look forward to. On Thursday, we will host the Dance Showcase at 2:30 pm, and we warmly invite all families to join us. This event is a highlight of the term, and we’re excited to see our children shine. Please remember that photography and videography will not be permitted during the showcase. We will be capturing some moments ourselves and will share these through our internal communications.

This week has been full of activity: Year 2 shared their learning with the community on Thursday afternoon with many Yr 2 families attending the showcase, and tonight, our Year 1 students will enjoy a Spooky Disco in celebration of Friday the 13th.

Additionally, the Year 3/4 students will present their term’s learning at an expo for their families on Monday, September 16th, after school.

R U Ok day: Yesterday the school talked about R U Okay day. It is an important topic  that we want all of our community to be aware of.

A CONVERSATION CAN CHANGE A LIFE

R U OK? inspire and empower everyone to meaningfully connect with the  people around them and start a conversation with those in their world who may be struggling with life.

You don't need to be an expert to reach out - just a good friend and a great listener.

Use these four steps and have a conversation that could change a life:

  1. Ask R U OK?
  2. Listen
  3. Encourage action
  4. Check in

Parent/Carer Survey: We have currently received responses from 22% of parents and carers for our survey. It’s crucial that we gather as much feedback as possible. Typically, families who encounter difficulties with school processes and routines are more likely to provide feedback, while those who are satisfied may not take the time to share their opinions. This can lead to an imbalance in the feedback we receive, potentially affecting the implementation of various approaches.

School Council: met on Tuesday 10th Sept, our Photographing, Filming and Recording Students Policy was ratified. It will be available on our school website next week.

Last day of term: School finishes at 2:30pm next Frida , assembly will be at 2pm. It is also Sports Day, so we hope to see the children and families dressed in their team colours.
