Dear Banyan Fields Community,

We would like to take the time to let you all know of this important information about Banyan Fields Primary School.

Last Day Term 4 is tomorrow the 20th of December – Early Dismissal of 1:30pm.

2025 Student Starting Dates:

We have a Curriculum Day (No Students on site) on Tuesday 28th January 2025.

Year 2 – 6 Students commence - Wednesday 29th January.

Foundation Students commence - Friday 31st January.

* Foundation Students do not attend Wednesdays in February for Foundation Testing.

Year 1 Students Commence - Monday 3rd February.

2025 Bell Times:

Check in and Welcome Circle: 8:45am - 9:00am

Session 1: 9:00am - 10:00am

Session 2: 10:00am - 11:00am

Snack Eating Time: 11:00am - 11:10am

Break: 11:10am - 11:30am

Session 3: 11:30am - 12:30pm

Session 4: 12:30pm - 1:30pm

Lunch eating time: 1:30pm - 1:40pm

Break: 1:40pm - 2:10pm

Session 5: 2:10pm - 3:10pm

Compass

At the end of 2024 Banyan Fields Primary School will cease using Sentral and as of 2025 will begin using Compass School Manager as our Parent Portal. Using our Parent Portal you will be able to:

Access your child's Student Progress and Semester Reports
Book your Parent/Student/Teacher conferences
View up-to-date class and school attendance information
Approve or enter upcoming or past absences for your son/daughter
Download, print and approve upcoming excursions
Pay school fees, charges and contributions
Update your registered email and mobile number (used for SMS alerts) details
Access information regarding upcoming events and news

Accessing Compass

Compass is a web-based system that is accessible on any modern web browser or by using the 'Compass School Manager' app available for iOS or Android.

We kindly ask you be patient with parent codes, we are in the process of getting all these ready for families to be sent with the email you have provided us, so please keep an eye out for this email.

Semester Reports - Families should receive an email by Friday notifying you that your child’s 2024 semester 2 school report is ready for viewing.

IMPORTANT - A reminder that if your child is in Year 6 or leaving BFPS your Sentral Parent Portal will become inactive as of midnight Friday 20th December 2024. We kindly remind parents to download your student/s reports

We also encourage all families to download your student/s reports. Due to us switching over to Compass, the Sentral Parent Portal will no longer be available from early 2025. These will be available on Compass in the New Year.
