From our Parent Committee
END OF YEAR PARTY WRAP UP & THANK YOUS
We hope that everyone had a wonderful time at the Party! Even the small amount of rain could not dampen the fun had by all. While the final profit count is not quite in, we estimate that the Party, including the silent auction and teacher dunk tank, raised approximately $22,000 for our school.
There are so many people to thank who volunteered their time and expertise to make this party happen. A huge thank you to the following parents:
Marni Baker for coordinating the WHOLE party – we are so lucky to have your talent and time.
Bec Kempster for managing the “ Le Bar”, all of our parents with RSAs who staffed the bar and Stomping Ground for assisting with equipment and drinks
Tim Hall for managing the BBQ
Dara Or for arranging the “Apparents Band” and all of their musicians
Julia Yuncken & Marine Preset-Thompson for managing Lollyland
Martine Inge for shopping for all the supplies
The Ticket Team – Sue Mennie, Marnie Ors, Julia Yuncken and Marni Baker
Fraser Thompson for the pre-party preparation and leaf blowing
Oria Ortov for overseeing the Popcorn
Anne-Sophie Aguado for arranging the sushi, drinks and snacks

Clarel Philbert for making & donating the brochettes
Pascale Fedele from Mailed with Love for making our graphics
Diana Saldanha and the Cylich family for collecting the Zellers and Kosher sausages

The winner of the lolly jar guessing competition will be announced at the final assembly.
In addition to all the people above, here is the long list of volunteers that we would like to thank – there is no party without all our volunteers: Carniff Manouchy, Caroline Dubreucq, Frank Poirier, Xavier Vagedes, Clifford Wong, Julia Lindner, Guillermo Aranguren, Charlie Porter, Barbara Roth, Amit Doron, Marcel Levy, Marine Ors, Emily Nadelman, Paul Egre, Sussanah Sandi, Yael Ouedraogo, Felicia Thomson, Claire Anne Charles, Anna Olshina, Michelle Freud, Philomene Sadi Mateta, Elise Phillips, Halford family, Yau Massacrier, Dani Goldman, Beatriz Pereira, Justine Le Bras, Christoph Forni, Joseph Chang, Karen Hill, Sandra Sumane, Maryline Mauret, Davinah Butbul, Jude Levy, Berengere Peignoux, Sandi Casaroli, Sue Mennie, Kate Jeite-Delbridge and Elisa Hill.

SILENT AUCTION
The silent auction run in conjunction with EFM, was a huge success this year raising ~$6000 for the school due to our wonderful volunteers and very generous community businesses and friends who donated prizes. All of the lucky raffle winners were chosen at random by the Galabid platform and they have been notified of their success and how to collect their prize. Finally, can all winners who are collecting their prize from school please do so by Thursday next week.
Thank you again to our auction volunteers Karen Hill, Asmine Hammadou, Gus Krapf, Julia Yuncken, Beatriz Pereira and Celia Trevisani for all your work to make the auction happen at the last minute. Here is a photo of the winner of The Little Sister hamper!
Teacher Gifts: Gifts to all specialist teachers, School support staff, the executive team and the office team were arranged by the by the PC and given on behalf of the CJC community this week. These funds come from a proportion on the donations made by each class. Thank you to our class convenors for overseeing the collection of funds and Martine Inge for purchasing the gifts.
Prep Orientation: The PC hosted a welcome morning tea for all 2025 Prep families this Wednesday, including holding a special prep 2nd hand uniform shop. Thank you to our dedicated uniform shop team, Marine Ors, Martine Inge and Sonia Starosta, for their time to run this valuable service to our community.
Finally, on a personal note, after 3 years I will be stepping down as PC President next year at the AGM and handing over the role to the very capable, Julia Yuncken. It has been a pleasure working with the School Executive, Teachers, School Council, Convenors and fellow parent volunteers to build a vibrant CJC school community that benefits our students.
