Merry Christmas & thank you!

Thank you to all staff, students & families for the support offered & work undertaken this year. We wish you all a Merry Christmas & Happy New Year. May your break provide you with some time for rest & rejuvenation! See you again in 2025.

First Aid Awareness

The oval was a sea of sirens last Monday as our primary students undertook a First Aid awareness training. The younger students discussed what you might need to do in an emergency and were shown how to call for help if an emergency situation did arise. The older students were given a demonstration on how to undertake CPR and discussed the role that all people may play in supporting those helping in emergencies. The staff at Ambulance Victoria were very impressed with how many students knew their address. Well done to students and their families! Of course, the favourite part of the visit was a look through the ambulance vehicles. Many questions were asked and Eliot and Apryl did an excellent job explaining what all the equipment in the vehicles in used for.

We would like to sincerely thank Eliot and Apryl (ex Charlton College student) from Ambulance Victoria who gave their time to arm our students with the skills they may need in an emergency.

FINAL CALL!

Support with book lists

If any families suspect they may have difficulty purchasing some book list items, can they please make contact with Jess McGurk PRIOR to submitting book lists. It is unlikely that we can provide financial assistance for whole book lists, however we may be able to assist with some items (depending on the year level and what is actually required).

There are a few avenues that can be explored; however, we are unable to reimburse people for items that have been already paid for, or ordered, which is why it is really important that you reach out BEFORE finalising/submitting your book list this year. If it is left to next year, there could be some delay in accessing items.

Support for students

As a school, we recognise that how individuals manage their emotions and stress following a critical incident is very personal and will look different for all individuals.

We are committed to providing students’ and their families with the support they need. Please don’t hesitate to contact your child’s advisory teacher or a member of the wellbeing team if you would like to discuss how we can work together to best support your child.
