From the Assistant Principal

Miss Kim Bailey

Merry Christmas to all Students and Families

A huge thanks to all of our families for your ongoing support. We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

2025 Secondary Class Lists

Secondary class lists will not be finalised until the students return in Week 1. This includes Pastoral Care classes, general teaching classes and any streamed classes.

It is possible that classes may appear on Compass before then. Please disregard this until school resumes in 2025, as they will not necessarily accurately reflect the classes.

After school has resumed in 2025, please contact Miss Bailey if you wish to discuss the class your child has been placed in.

Congratulations to the 2025 SRC

Congratulations to Sasha Bryant, Halina Huynh, Hannah Sanderson, Toby Beveridge, Aksel Hutchings and Angus Norman.

Congratulations to Sasha Bryant and Aksel Hutchings, who have been elected 2025 Holy Trinity School Captains.

House Captain and Vinnies Executive elections will be held next year.

Week 10 End-of-Year Activities - Thursday 19 December

Information is available on Compass outlining the program for class activities on Thursday 19 December. Families must consent via Compass for all activities on Thursday. Students can wear plain clothes and will need to check with their Pastoral Care teachers about food arrangements for the day. Students must bring their food if they do not take up this option as the canteen will be closed on Friday.

Lost Property

Students have been advised to check lost property. Many items of clothing and other belongings do not have names, making it very difficult to return them to the correct owner.

Presentation Day

Congratulations to all award recipients. It was great to have parents attend the Presentation Day assembly on Monday to celebrate the students' hard work and commitment to their studies.

Reports

Reports were distributed yesterday. Families are also able to view their reports via the Compass portal.

Schoolwork During the Holidays: How to Balance Rest and Readiness

The holidays are the perfect opportunity to hit reset—relax, recharge, and enjoy yourself. But while rest is essential, it doesn’t mean you should completely ignore schoolwork. A bit of thoughtful planning can set you up for a smooth and successful return to school next year.

Here are some ideas to consider for the holidays.

TIDY UP AND SET GOALS

  • Organise your space: Transform your study area into a productive environment. Declutter, rearrange, and make it a place where you feel comfortable and focused.
  • Sort and simplify your materials: Go through your school supplies, digital files, and notes. Keep what’s essential, organise everything logically, and set up systems to make studying easier next year.
  • Plan ahead:
    • Create term planners for the upcoming year to mark key dates when school starts.
    • Plan a weekly study timetable for next year to build good habits and stay on top of your workload.
    • If you can, find out any of the novels you will studying in the coming year, read them over the holidays.
  • Focus on weak spots: Identify tricky areas from last term, such as math concepts, grammar, foreign languages, or literacy skills, and dedicate some time to improving them. A little effort now can make a big difference later.

STRETCH AND GROW YOUR SKILLS

  • Learn something new: Challenge your brain by picking up a new skill or activity. Whether it’s Sudoku, learning touch typing, starting a new sport, or trying out a new hobby, the holidays are a perfect time to push your boundaries and build new neural pathways.
