Meet our New Staff...

Monica Bowen

Hello! This is my first year of teaching at SJV and I’m super excited to be a part of the 1/2 team. I have been teaching for over twenty years across different year levels and different education sectors, including a stint teaching at University. Outside of school I enjoy cooking, live music and shows as well as a bit of gardening (not the weeding though - I leave that to my husband!) I have two teenage daughters, one who has just completed VCE and one who is just about to start VCE. I’m looking forward to an exciting year of learning.

I must start by saying a big thank you to the SJV Community for your warm welcome.  I feel so blessed to be teaching the Foundation students of the school this year, and look forward to watching them flourish, as they grow as respectful, responsible and resilient learners in our school.

This is my 17th year of teaching, and I have been so lucky to teach in all the levels from Foundation to Year 6 many times over.  I also feel  privileged to have spent some time last year as a Relief Teacher in the beautiful classes here at SJV, where I have met some very friendly faces.  When I’m not teaching, I’m home with my children and enjoy going for long walks (usually at Chadstone) and adventure days with our family and friends.  I can’t wait to get to know you all in 2025!

Kelly Moxon

Hi my name is Kelly Moxon. I have been teaching for 29 years and for the past 19 years I have been teaching at St Mary’s in Hampton. This is my first year of teaching at SJV and I am very excited to begin. Outside of school I love spending time with my friends and family. I have three sons who are 16, 13 and 11 and a gorgeous Cavoodle named Billy. I have felt so welcomed and supported already at SJV and I cannot wait to get to know everyone.
