Learning Hub

On 10 December, the Learning Hub held its annual Christmas Brunch with selected students, the Learning Support Faculty, and members of the St Joseph’s Catholic College Executive Team. Beginning in 2021, the Christmas Brunch presents students with an opportunity to showcase their creativity whilst developing life skills such as cooking, organisation, and etiquette. Students ranging from Years 7 to Year 10 decorated the Learning Hub and created elaborate table displays, bringing the spirit of the season and some Christmas cheer to the centre. Students used their craft projects to decorate the table with individualized placemats and ornaments whilst learning the proper way to set a table. This culminated in students making a brunch for selected peers and the staff who have worked to support them this year as a heartfelt thank you for their assistance.
