Arts

What an incredible year it has been in The Arts! Our students have been immersed in a variety of creative opportunities across Dance, Drama, Music, Media, and Visual Arts.

A major highlight was our first-ever whole school production of Alice in Wonderland. Year 5/6 students auditioned for character roles and took on responsibilities as part of the sound and prop crew. It was a tremendous success, and we’re excited to continue this tradition biannually.

Our Year 5/6 Festival of Music choir had the honour of performing at the Festival Theatre, showcasing their dedication and hard work throughout the year. The Junior Choir also performed at the Festival Theatre, delivering an Auslan rendition of Advance Australia Fair and a lively concert in the foyer. I am very proud of all these students and seeing their growth throughout these opportunities.

Our annual concert, ‘Game On!’, brought the entire school community together to celebrate sports through music and movement. Every student shone on stage, showing off their talents and school spirit.

We were thrilled to welcome JAM Band to our school for a morning of fun and music. Students sang, danced, and a lot even got to dress up in costumes to join the band for a song. It was an unforgettable experience for all involved.

Last week, 35 of our Year 3-6 students participated in Singing in the City, traveling to the heart of Adelaide to perform at two iconic locations - the stunning Mortlock Chamber in the State Library and the Adelaide Railway Station. Their beautiful voices captivated audiences and showcased the incredible talent and dedication of our students.

Thank you to everyone who supported The Arts at Para Vista this year. We look forward to another exciting year of creativity, collaboration, and expression in 2025!
