Curriculum Days Tuesday 28 & Wednesday 29 January

As you know, we will be commencing 2025 with two pupil-free days to ensure that all is in readiness for the return of students on Thursday 30 January (Year 1-6 only).  Below is a brief outline of the two days, but a more detailed agenda can be found here.

Tuesday 28 January Curriculum Day 1

8:40am - 3:40pm: Whole staff workshop facilitated by David Anderson focussed on building a culture of highly professional educators (Teachers and all ES staff to attend until the lunchbreak; ES Admin are welcome to remain or to step out of the afternoon session).

3:40-4:40pm: Teachers to work in teams/ learning spaces as required

[EOI and MOI Refresher - Foundation Team, Nicole, Kim, Heather, Angelique, Evan, Nancy, Janet - please meet in Alycia's room so we are prepared prior to the Foundation testing which will take place on Thursday, Friday and Monday. We will try to keep it brief to ensure maximum time in your classrooms. Merci!]

* Note: Morning Tea will be provided on Curriculum Day 1 and we will be ordering coffees from Con Noi cafe, thanks to the lovely Kelly Club team.  If you would like a coffee/ chai/hot chocolate at morning tea, please place your order here by 8:30am on Tuesday 28 January.  New staff- if you are unable to access the order document feel free to text your order to Kim (0438 246 190).

Wednesday 29 January Curriculum Day 2

8:40pm - 12:30pm: Teaching staff workshop on the Victorian Teaching and Learning Model 2.0 and other organisational updates facilitated by the Leadership Team.  

ES Admin team are not required for this session.

1:30-4:40pm: teachers to work in teams/ learning spaces as required.  Foundation testing refresher for those involved in Foundation entry testing.

Both curriculum day sessions will take place in Kerryn and Elisha's classrooms above the library and begin promptly at 8:40am.  If any staff are on site and available earlier, we would love your help with setting up the space from 8:00am.  

Please note that Morning Tea will only be provided on Tuesday 28th Jan.  Please bring your own lunch on both days and your own morning tea on Wednesday 29th.
