When you are absent from school
So that your pay is calculated accurately, it is your responsibility to complete all sections in the Daily Organisation document as indicated:
It is important to complete columns A-J and then columns M,N and O. If you know which budget your CRT cover is coming from ie working with Michael Minas is the Maths budget, it would be helpful to indicate this in colum Q.
ABSENCES - RECORDING ON EDUPAY & CERTIFICATE REQUIREMENTS
Please log your absence on Edupay as soon as possible. This should be actioned within five days of your return to work to help ensure pay calculations are correct and avoid unnecessary overpayments. Information about the various leave types and entitlements can be found here .
A reminder when requesting sick/personal leave with a certificate -
- Certificates that state you are ‘unfit for work’ qualify for a full day absence with a certificate. If you are only absent for part of the working day, you should request instead a ‘certificate of attendance’ as you cannot attending the workplace if your certificate states you are ‘unfit for work’.
- Certificates that state ‘medical appointment’ or ‘certificate of attendance’ only qualify for a half day absence with certificate only.
- Carer’s certificates must state your name, the name of the person you are caring for and your relationship to them. As above, carer’s certificates of attendance will usually count for half day only.
FYI - CONFLICT OF INTEREST - STAFF OBLIGATIONS All employees are required to be familiar with their obligations and to regularly consider these under DET’s Conflict of Interest (COI) policy. This policy provides a comprehensive definition of COI and outlines the required process for the management of COI risks. All employees, including members of the teaching service, school council employees and school councillors, have a responsibility to avoid any dealings that may affect their public duty. It is a requirement that any conflict of interest must be declared using the Declaration of Conflict of Interest form in eduPay. COI declarations and agreed plans for managing conflicts of interest must be recorded in writing.
