Congratulations to all of our student leaders. This year, we have been inundated with applications and it has made the hard job of appointing students to positions even more difficult. We could not be happier with the appointments below.
College Captain Introductions to the Community
Kemi & Manasvi
Hello to all Parents, Carers, Students and Teachers,
We are Kemi Ilori and Manasvi Donthumalla, and we are your school captains for 2025!!
As we step into 2025, we want to work together to encourage everyone to step out of their comfort zone as we have many events planned for the year that we are really excited to host. This year is going to be such an exciting one! We have a few things planned for this year, and all our student leaders are working together to ensure we can have the best year possible as an uplifting school community. We hope you guys have the same enthusiasm in participating in these events and have a really great time!
We are both so grateful for this opportunity to be your school leaders and work alongside all of the other brilliant leaders, to contribute our ideas and spirit to this school. As secondary students in our final years of highschool, it’s important we make the most of our time here at Homestead, supporting and uplifting each other, and showing up as best we can each day.
This term, our Homestead value is purpose. What this means to me is that we are all striving to be the best version of ourselves in whatever we do, whether it's in a sac, in class, in an extracurricular activity, at work etc. We should all work to encourage each house’s value every term, and apply them to our everyday lives inside and outschool!
As you all know, our first upcoming whole school event is Athletics day on the 25th of February!! This is a day for all of the homestead to celebrate their houses and compete with one another using our athletic abilities. This is such an awesome day, to have fun together and get to know each other more! There are events such as sprints, long distance running around the track, novelty events, and cheering your peers on! Each year, we all dress up as characters (within our house colours), or in simple things such as tutus and coloured shirts. We deeply encourage you all to go all out this year, as there will be a prize for best dressed!
As captains, we are here to make sure your voices are heard and listen to your ideas, so please feel free to reach out to us!
And finally we can’t wait to spend 2025 with all of Homestead, making incredible memories, celebrating each other’s achievements, and shaping 2025 into a fantastic year of Homestead!!

Hi everyone, hope you are well.
For those who don’t me, I’m Klowie, your head of student voice for this year. My role here at Homestead has so many areas but a quick summary is that I represent you (the students) and do my best to make sure that you are okay, you have everything you need and that your voices are heard. I help lead the student voice team and work with these amazing people to come up with amazing ideas and implement things that will benefit you and your time here at homestead. If you ever need anything, if you ever have any questions, concerns or ideas, anything at all. Just email me or come and find me, I am more than happy to help. Thank you for listening, Have an amazing rest of your day and hope you have a good year.
I’m Celestine!
Nice to meet y’all. I am Homestead’s Diversity & Inclusion Leader. My job is to help make people feel more included during their time at school. If you see me ‘round, totally don’t be afraid to come say hi. You can also talk to me about suggestions for school, and I can maybe bring up your ideas in super cool, serious school meetings with the Leadership Team.
I also always bring my UNO cards. If you wanna challenge me. I rarely win.
So see you around. Or not. No pressure. Okay. Bye bye.
Our Student Voice positions, Music & Performing Arts Captain, as well as our Sports Captain will be decided in the coming few weeks. We will publish the outcome of these positions in coming editions of the newslett
