Term 3 Reflection
As we come to the close of another rich and full term at King’s College, I am reminded again of the goodness and faithfulness of God. Each week has been filled with opportunities for our students to learn, grow, and experience the joy of being part of a Christ-centred community.
This term has seen our Year 10 students step out into the wider community for Work Experience, where they gained valuable insights into future pathways and the way their gifts and talents can serve others. Our Junior School Swimming Program was a highlight for many of our younger students, as they not only grew in confidence in the water but also learned the importance of perseverance and discipline.
Book Week, with the theme “Book an Adventure”, brought colour, imagination, and creativity into our classrooms. The costumes, storytelling, and shared joy reminded us of the adventure we are called to in Christ, to “run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith” (Hebrews 12:1–2).
We also celebrated our humble beginnings as a Christian School on Founder’s Day, giving thanks to God for the vision and faith of those who established King’s College. Their obedience to God’s call has blessed generations of students, and we continue to walk in that legacy.
Alongside these events, the term was enriched by camps and excursions, including the Silver Duke of Edinburgh trip, where students tested their resilience, teamwork, and leadership. These experiences remind us of Joshua’s words: “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9).
Through it all, we see God’s hand at work - shaping young lives, building character, and reminding us that education is more than academics. It is about growing in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and people (Luke 2:52).
As we reflect on this term, I want to thank you, our families, for choosing King’s College and for valuing Christian education. Together, we are planting seeds that will bear fruit for eternity. May we continue to partner in faith, prayer, and encouragement, trusting that “He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus” (Philippians 1:6).

RUOK? Day & King's Got Talent
On Thursday, we celebrated RUOK? Day – a day that reminds us of the importance of checking in with others, reaching out for help when we need it, and knowing that support is always around us. To celebrate, students and staff wore a splash of yellow to school. Staff also enjoyed an RUOK? Day themed morning tea.
We also celebrated by holding King’s Got Talent. From band performances and dances, to unicycle riding and yo-yo tricks, our students wowed the audience with their creativity and skill. Congratulations to Year 12 student, Josiah W, who was crowned the winner of this year’s show for his cover of Coldplay's Fix You!

Father's Day Breakfast
On Friday 5th September, we celebrated our dads and father figures with a special Father’s Day Breakfast. Everyone was treated to delicious bacon and egg rolls, freshly brewed coffee, and plenty of fruit for the children to enjoy.
It was a lovely morning, giving our dads the chance to sit back, relax, and share some conversation with one another. The atmosphere was full of smiles and chatter, making it a wonderful way to start the day.
A huge thank you goes out to all of our amazing helpers - this event wouldn’t have been possible without your time and support.
We hope all our dads had a fantastic Father’s Day!
